Dear All,

We have several very exciting announcements to make today regarding the YWO magazine, Survival by Storytelling!

1. Submissions will be open soon.

2. The magazine will be published in e-magazine form, which can be "purchased" by donating at least $1. There will also be a free, "lite" version released in blog form over the course of the two months between issues.

3. The first issue of the new SBS is due to be released on 1st July! Despite controversy over the idea of a theme, we have decided to label this issue "A Celebration of Writing," which we hope leaves it broad enough for anyone to submit. We really hope to make this a killer issue, so we can have as many submissions as is humanly possible.

4. Instead of being run by Shaun, the system has been changed a little, and Shaun is now Senior Editor. The Editors-in-Chief are Fi and our very special guest, Imelda. Some of you may remember Imelda from TW and from this site many years ago. She's a real expert in organizing writers, management, and getting the small furry mice out of the computer system when we're in a panic, so we're really excited to be working with her. We hope you will all make her feel incredibly welcome!

There are many more exciting announcements to come, so keep an eye on this thread for links etc. This is one of the most exciting ventures on YWO in a while, and we really hope everyone will get behind it and get involved.

Thank you all for listening to my little rambling. There is a hamster in a wheel powering my brain, and we just fed him cheese, so we're sorry for the length of the post!

Fi
Editor-in-Chief

Imelda. I knew it. Geez, Fi, I should be an oracle or something.

Jules, we originally thought it was going to be Lozzaa Lorenzo. It's cool you guys have roped Meldi into this. I'm looking forward to reading this

Pro-tip: because my first instinct is to procrastinate anything I see as an obligation or responsibility, asking me for a critique is a good way to make sure I never give you a critique.

Former Admin of TW. We're partnering with her to put together the mag. Of course, I suppose people are just being sarcastic...
