Everyone has ways of helping them through the Nano month, what about you? Made an calendars to keep track of your wordcount? Know any wise words, any hints or tips for keeping sane? Know of any sites that help with getting work done?

Basically, post anything at all that has/will help you get through nano, or anything other's have told you about.

Write or Die engine:
Kind of like a mini-word war machine you can have with yourself. It has different setting, even one that will eat your words if you stop writing for too long. O.o Also has a piece from a previous nanoer about her success with this last year.

Temptation Blocker:
A downloadable programme that allows you to block anything on your computer that may distract you from writing, even the internet, for a selected amount of time. The only way to unblock it until the time you allocated runs out is to enter a 32-digit password, which is rather a deterrent, no?

An epically amazing writing software created specifically for novels. All the info's on the site. This is mainly for Mac users, but they have just realeased a Windows Beta version (click the little red 'yet' under 'only for Mc OS X). The Beta version is buggy and not as good as the Mac version, but it works and is free (as it's just a test run). Will be updated on the 12th of December.

I have no personal experience of this as I've never used it, but it's been recommended to me by several people. Upon reading it sounds rather like Scrivener, but specifically designed for Nanowrimo participants rather than a cross range of writers. It has tools to track your progress, too, like on the nano site. And it's free.
