Yes, it's short.

Anyway, the point of it is, you post a piece of your writing, the site analyzes it, and then it figures out what famous author your writing resembles. However, I don't know just how many "famous authors" the site compares you to, but it's interesting.

Unfortunately for me, I write like Stephenie Meyer, according to the website. This is biased, but I now hate it. And I'm crying.

*hugs OT* I'm so, so sorry, hon. You'll be alright. Be strong. Be strong!

Also. Who the heck is James Fenimore Cooper? Supposedly I write like him, but I've never read anything by him.

Oh! I've tried this before!
But I had a lot of free writes that I put in. I mostly got Stephen King and Dan Brown.

And Cooper is a 19th century historical and romantic writer.

It only analyzes specific words and the frequency of said words anyway. I get things like Stephen King and Isaac Asimov because I probably use 'dark', 'blood', and 'space' a lot.

Oh, I was going to mention that. When episode 9 of the Skiffy and Fanty Show goes up, you'll all get to hear what I pulled up when I put some of my writing in

I had so much fun with this. I think I put nearly everything I've ever written into it. xD

Hamartia
ch 1 - Ian Flemming
ch 2 - Ian Flemming
ch 3 - Vladamir Nabokov
ch 4 - James Joyce
ch 5 - Jame Joyce
ch 6 - Ian Flemming
Scene I've been writing that goes around ch 27 (septic tank scene) - James Joyce

Sins of Jade House
Prologue - James Joyce
chs 1-5 - Neil Gaiman
ch 23 - Margaret Atwood

Christmas story submission - Jack London (guessing because of all the snow lol)
Short story I'm writing - David Foster Wallace (who's he?)

I put two poems in, too, Daffodil Girl and Perennial Cities, and they both came out as Neil Gaiman separately, but together they came out as Chuck Palaniuk.

Also some very old silly children's stories:
Arfur - Lewis Caroll
Intergalactica - Douglas Adams (guessing that's because it has aliens mentioned and made-up words)
Simon's War:
chs 1-3 and 4-5 separately - J.K Rowling
chs 8-10 - Michael Mupourgo

My first ever novel (age 12 and awful!!):
chunk from beginning - Stephen King
chunk from middle - Daniel Defoe
chunk from end - James Joyce

And my bit of the Endeavour olympics theme submission - James Joyce

An hour of successful time-wasting. Managed to avoid editing anything, too.

Orange-red cubes that make a wall,
they aren't always orange-red,
but butterscotch cement holds them tight
and burning wine becomes the mortar.
Diamond drops of liquid ice,
a cling-film layer that wraps up the world
with sticky taps and pitfall paper,
keeping flies trapped inside and out
--they drown a certain Scottish pirate
and then the poetry stops for good,
the - end
as jelly oozes through the cracks.
