I believe that you must go to the User CP tab or button thing on the top, and then go down to edit avatar.

Ah, I've made that same mistake before. As far as I can tell, there is no way to delete it. Sorry to tell you that, but at least you're not alone (places hand on shoulder in consolation before leaving without a word).

I can probably get rid of it for you! If you're having a technical issue, just contact a mod

It probably means you need to do a more in depth critique. Don't trust me completely on that though, I could be wrong.

umm.. I'm new here and I joined so I could become a better writer and obtain new wisdom. the teachers at my school don't really challenge me enough, I'm in seventh grade and I fell like a third grader. I was wondering if you could give me a topic and I could write about it, I could post it, you read it and give me you're feedback. that would really help me with my writing. so can you assign me assignments to challenge myself. I love writing but I'm afraid that I wont get anywhere without somebody telling where I actually am. please and thank you. I'm really excited

Hi Samiare, welcome to YWO. Good choice, you came to the right place to become a better writer. I just have a few questions to ask you about your writing, but please do not feel pressured to answer them. I am also here to learn so please, if you need serious help turn to one of the green name people. I would suggest Lykiaos, she has been very helpful to me.

Firstly, what do you enjoy writing? Writing is so universal you could be good at anything. What's your genre? Do you prefer factual or fictional writing? I think at this time we all need to experiment. Find out what writing style is ours. Once you have figured that out it gets easier to stretch yourself with what you are doing. I also think writing should be led by emotions, this is just my opinion so don't worry if you don't feel the same way, but I do feel people need to be passionate about what they write. I hope this will help you find your writers voice.

If you like writing stories, start small. Write a story about a girl and her adventures or adapt a fairy tale so it is set in modern times. With the fairy tale idea you could write it from any characters point of view. These are just a couple of ideas you can use to write.

(Just a quick disclaimer, this is merely my opinion so please do not take it as fact.)
