Ten questions to ask a friend who just read your novel

I've never had this problem (because I don't show my writing to my friends), but this might be helpful for those of you who do. Or the questions might work for critiques on this site.

I'll remember to ask people this whenever I ask for true, honest critizism. I never believe they are telling the truth

Very good article. I would also add one question:

Would you buy this story if you found it in a store?

Yeah, those are good questions to ask and you could probably easily adapt them for a short story or something as well.

They are quite helpful. But I'm the same as you Majyk I never show writing to my friends but I guess I could ask my parents or my dog

I had the pleasure of attending a lecture with my friend (he's going on sixty) by a simply amazing art critic, who said if you want a compliment, show your work to your mother. If you want to get better, let the critics shred it.
