In all honesty I can do with complete silence or really loud background, but nothing in the middle. Well, let me rephrase: if I can make out actual words and sentences in what is happening around me, I can't write or read, but if it's 20 people babbling at the same time and I can't make out what any of them are saying individually, then it just because noise and I can write and read .

Me too. Really annoying and it gives the writers block an extra nudge.

Yea, how do you tune others out? I'm having much difficulty in that.

Well, it takes time to master, but you have to be so absored in what you're doing that you forget about other people That's the eaiset trick.

That's really difficult. I'm never good at concentrating.

You don't have to concentrate, just think the other people aren't there.
