At YWO, you can create or join clubs for people with a common interest. For example, as of right November 2, there's a Fantasy Club and a Movie Discussion Club. When you're a member of a club, that club is listed on your profile:

To Join A Club:

To see which clubs are available, go to your Control Panel, then scroll down to the bottom of the left hand menu. Click Group Memberships.

There, you'll see the clubs you've already joined, and clubs than you can request to join. Select the clubs you want to join, then press "Join Group". If the leader of the club approves you, you're in! Usually, clubs will have a common thread where its members can talk.

You can also leave clubs if you want.

To Make A Club:

Find five other people who would join your club. A good way to do this is to start a thread in off-topic for your club and request members. (You will probably want to make a thread for your club anyway, like a base of operations).

PM Andy or Shaun with the name of the group and its purpose. If it's good, we'll create a new member club and you'll become its leader. Then you can tell everyone to go to their control panels and join.

You will automatically be notified if someone requests to join your club. You can then allow or deny them, on the same page where your club memberships are listed.

And there you go! Have fun!
