Hi! My name is Kelsey AKA Mercy and of course, I'm a newbie. ; I enjoy reading (thus, at the moment I'm bummed about not being able to go to a book review club) and writing (yet I make no progress. :[). My favorite books are The Giver, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Rebecca, Fahrenheit 451 and Frankenstein. At the moment, I am very irritated with quite a bit of teen fiction, especially Twilight.

Hey Kels. I like your username, it's cute
I <3 the Giver, amazing book!
So you're into classics? I never got through Jane Eyre, but Wuthering Heights was good.
Don't worry you'll progress in writing once you start posting here and getting our amazing critiques

Welcome.

... I was going to leave it at that, but... Do you write fiction, or non fiction? Be active, critique stuff (preferably before you post your story), have fun, and I'll see you around.

Oh! And be a

Tsuki! I remembered .

@ Nyx: Thank you. =) Yes, The Giver is most definitly amazing! It was the book that made me like reading. ; We had to read Jane Eyre for school, so I had to finish it. I loved the first few chapters but I began losing interest in it for awhile before getting into it again. Wuthering Heights is still ten times better though, in my opinion.

@ Majyk: Thank you as well. ^_^ I write fiction, but I like to interweave facts through the story.

@ Simmi: Thank you. ^-^ You should read them, I think you might like them, since you are picky. I am very pick about my books - I've restorted to reading mostly classics and adult fiction and even then I can be a bit too selective. ;

I know I've said thanks quite a bit, but I was surprised to get this many replies to quickly. So, thank you all again and I hope to see you all around the forums. ^__^

I have a friend who is literally as stealthy as a ninja...I must have her join. ^-^

@ Imelda: Thank you. =) Sorry about the text - I have this weird obsession with tiny text and it increases every year. A while back, I went from writing in 12 to 10 text size and now I'm down to nine. x3
