I didn't think I would be doing this, but I'm sending COOKING FOR MONSTERS on query now, so I have to start a new project. Might as well use this to motivate me, since it worked pretty well last year.

Pro-tip: because my first instinct is to procrastinate anything I see as an obligation or responsibility, asking me for a critique is a good way to make sure I never give you a critique.

Nice on both counts!
P.S. once you get the hang of sending out queries for a finished book, I bet people on the forum would be psyched to hear about it - what it's like, how it went. Good luck! I hope somebody awesome takes it.

I'm doing this! Bless us. In the nanos before, I've just continued drafts of some of my novels and short stories. This time, I want to do an actual novel around Uni life. Oh my god, this will be cathartic; you have no idea.

Just changed my mind on what I wanted to write. Now have much less time to get it all together. Yay!

I always just wing it when it comes to NaNo to be honest. This year, I decided to make a very basic chapter outline.

Man, I've been trying to find some people my age around my area to meet and hang out with to write. But they're all just awkward middle-aged folk. What the fuck, Central Jersey? Seriously.

There's not even a regional group for where I live. There's maybe two other people who have posted at all this year, and it was in last year's thread, which was also inactive.
