Let Spiders explain. No need to poke
Thanks Shaun. It's probably better to number my reasons in a list:

1) I do most of my critiquing on another site, where I prefer the system, and hence don't have the time to effectively contribute to the critiquing area of this site.
2) I find the moderation of critiques unprofessional, and it doesn't create the kind of atmosphere for a critiquing environment that I would like to be part of.
3) Line-by-line critiques are not my preference, and a large amount of critiquing on this site is done as such.
4) The tone of some critiques I have seen surprises and repels me.

Ultimately, this isn't the environment where I would look to improve my work, and I don't have the time to offer my feedback to other people here to the extent that I would give it. Therefore, I swing by here to give advice in threads but critique in other groups and communities which I can benefit more and which are more to my benefit. Apologies if I'm being blunt, but Infinity_Man's response to Novalis14 is a perfect example of why I don't put my work here for critique or critique other people's work here.

Could you PM me with specifics? I appreciate your response, but it's understandably vague. I'd like to get a better sense of the issue you describe so it can be addressed.
