Hey everyone,

This morning we had a little accident on YWO, resulting in every thread on the site being moved into the "Novels (Realistic)" forum.

At this point, most of the site should be back to normal:
  • 11,000 threads were returned to their proper forums.
  • 200 literature threads were moved to what is mostly their correct forum (for example, all affected Poetry threads were moved to Poetry - Members Only). If you take a look at your portfolio, some of your more recent submissions may not be in the correct literature forum. If this is the case and you want them moved, please let myself or another moderator know. Tell us where to move them, and we'll make sure it happens.
  • 100 non-literature threads we intend to shift through and move to their correct forum. All the ones from the past two weeks have already been fixed.
This should take care of everything. If anything else seems off (though unlikely), let a moderator know.

Thanks for your patience today, everyone!

Wow, that was really fast. Thanks, Andy, for the fast recovery of the forum.
One question - we can start posting our stories, poems, etc., right? Just asking, since the forum is still not completely back to normal...

All open threads should now be back in the public forum, generally in the right spot (and, again, if you want something moved because it's in the wrong spot, please contact one of us to let us know)

Yes. A few misplaced threads will not affect your ability to post new ones.
