Denali sat up with a groan, her hair like a nest. I wanna go back to bed, she thought to him but got up anyways. She padded to the bathroom and attempted to tame the beast that was her hair, but in the end simply decided on a braid. It just wasn't worth the time. She washed her face and teeth before throwing on a pair of black capris and a shirt decorated with a green peace symbol. Over the years she had become obsessed with conservation, trying to save the humans from themselves. "I'm ready," she told him with a grumble. She didn't know how he wore long clothes in May.

Faolan leaped up from his seat and, without saying a word, walked out of Desmhera's bar. As soon as he was outside, he power walked down the street, taking a left here, a right there, and an odd, twisting lane that ran near the border of the woods. He stopped there, looking out into the woods, wishing he could just change and run away, living wild and free instead of being stuck in overcrowded classrooms where he could barely breathe.

"Come on Faolan," Denali said, tapping him on the shoulder lightly. Only five more days until they were free. Where Denali had gotten used to living like a human at least a little bit, Faolan had seemed to detest the meat puppets since day one. She wasn't exactly friendly with them, but she tolerated them okay enough. "Desmhera said that we can leave as soon as school is over. Then we can go join a pack or something. Heck, if you really wanted to, we could start our own. Find some of the friendlier rogues," she told him brightly.

Faolan shrugged her off and turned around to walk towards the school. He wished Denali wouldn't press him to finish school, but it was impossible to convince her once she'd decided that was it. He shook his head, messing his hair from its orderly, swept up state and continued to walk.

Denali marched into the school, running straight into the biggest b**** the world has ever known. She would have loved to teach the blonde a lesson, but that could never be. With the wolves not being known about, confrontation with humans was not allowed whatsoever. "You stupid little freak! You almost spilled my latte," she spat at me. She stood up, her blood boiling, only to be pushed back on the ground...

Faolan reached school and saw Denali being pushed around by 'The Blonde'. He wished he could call her that to her face, but was afraid of Desmhera's wrath. Instead, he leaped up, grabbed the blonde's shoulders and drove his knee into her back.
"Get. Off. Her." he growled, wishing he had a wolf's jaws to bite her.
At the thought, he missed being a wolf so much he drew in a sharp breath. He shook his head, again, and returned to the matter at hand. Quite a crowd was beginning to form. One of the annoying, soccer star guys called out "Saving your girlfriend, aren't you, wolfboy? Maybe you should how to the moon, see if any of your wolf friends will reply."
Faolan ignored him. He was constantly being teased about his 'obsession' with wolves. Of course, the apparent 'soccer star' didn't know how close to the truth he got when he called him wolfboy, but what he didn't know couldn't hurt - especially not that.

Denali stood up with a few swear words, glaring at the girl and flipping her off. "Just wait till we get out of school, you're as good as dead," she yelled at the person whom she hated. Denali's temper was practically legendary when set off. If she said it was going to be done, it would be done. Though she didn't normally show her anger, she could accomplish anything while angry.
