Hey all,

because I'm a poet in Glasgow the internet automatically spits anything involving Liz Lochhead at me. And guess what! She is judging Mslexia's annual poetry competition this year. Here's a link to all the relevant info. Below are some sparknotes.

Q.) Who is eligible to submit?
A.) Women, from anywhere in the world

Q.) What kind of poetry do they accept?
A.) All kinds, it looks like, so long as it's in English/English dialect

Q.) Can it be published elsewhere? Or simultaneously submitted to another journal or contest?
A.) Nope, looks like it can't.

Q.) What's the prize?
A.) $$$$$$$$, a mentoring afternoon with the editor of the poetry review, and board at a writing retreat

Q.) Is there a submission fee?
A.) 7 GBP for up to three poems. If you're American, that's roughly $10.50

ALSO, there is a separate/additional prize for previously unpublished poets of 500 GBP. Rules/more information on the website.
