Here's to hoping it's better than last month's.

Here's the lowdown: You suggest what you think are the strongest pieces you read that were posted in september. Short stories, novel chapters, poems, and even submissions from the thread boxes (here's prose, and here's poetry) We're looking for 2-4 pieces from each section. Woooo!

And don't suggest yourself. That's meanie weenie.

This is pretty much the only thing I read last month that was posted last month, and didn't need a lot more work.

Pro-tip: because my first instinct is to procrastinate anything I see as an obligation or responsibility, asking me for a critique is a good way to make sure I never give you a critique.

Cousin Sonnet 1 (owl)
Tristan gets recruited into a church or "When he told me..." (Julian)

Also, here's the proper link to the poetry threadbox. The one you linked to was legit but dead.

I would highly suggest:
Bus Windows - Bookbunny7

Everyone might gain a speck of understanding or admiration for this story. It's very mature in my opinion, and the writing style is authentic.

Anyone got anymore suggestions before I put them up? I'll wait another day or two.
