Thanks to everyone who suggested work for the spotlight, especially Julian. If you post a different type of work than is shown here, it's still eligable for future monthly spotlights - I've got my eye out for great artwork, other writing, and pieces posted in both the prose and poem threadboxes. I'm still looking for help with the spotlight, so if you want to claim a forum and start looking for February's best pieces, please let me know.

Let the authors know what you liked, and maybe leave a critique or two in the original threads (if it's in a threadbox, PM the author). Some of these pieces could use a little extra love and attention.

Short stories

The girl and the black and white film, by Derrezzination

The Duellist, by Infinity Man

Damages, by Charlie

Clarity, by Sarah.420

The Blue Boy, by Dabs

Half the battle, by JasChappell

extra shoutout to Sibylline J. Backe, Thanatos, and JasChappell who have been steadily posting chapters of their novels for a few months now. I'm really impressed by their consistency and hard work (and, the writing is good). If you're bored and want to spend an afternoon reading, you should wander over to the novels forum and check out their work; or comment on a chapter that hasn't gotten many responses yet.

For her eyes only, by Ares

(I don't know) by Tredyakovsky

The office is Cold, by PieInTheSky

Well, thankyouverymuch ^.^

I don't always post stories, but I'm glad when I do people enjoy them!

Pro-tip: because my first instinct is to procrastinate anything I see as an obligation or responsibility, asking me for a critique is a good way to make sure I never give you a critique.
