I've been PMing a member back and forth over the last 24 hours regarding someone stealing his/her work. A YWO member, as far as I know, didn't do it, so this isn't a slight on anyone here. However, I do feel the need to discuss the issue here a little further.

We have a zero tolerance policy for plagiarism here. By plagiarism, we are referring to intention. If you, for example, quote someone and forget to attribute the quote, that's not a big deal (it happens all the time, and this isn't college); but if you willingly steal someone else's work and pass it off as your own, then you will be banned. Period. You may even be reported.

Plagiarism is a serious offense, punishable by law. So don't do it. If you believe someone has tried to steal your work, please let me or one of the mods know immediately, even if that person didn't post the stolen work here. The site keeps records of when things are posted and edited, and we can give that information to you so you can nail someone for trying to steal from you.

That is all.
