Managing a forum is no easy task. It takes a lot of time and money to keep things online and interesting. For that reason, we've compiled a list of all the ways you can help us out. We certainly don't require them, but would just like you to know that if you can do any of these things, even just once, we would greatly appreciate it.
  1. Monetary Ways
    1. Use our aStore: Amazon gives us a percent of their profits whenever you buy items through our aStore, and it doesn't mean any extra cost to you! If you're already considering buying from Amazon, using our store is a no-cost way to help us pay for hosting.
    2. Donate: By clicking the PayPal button at the top of this page, you can directly send us money to help cover costs.
    3. Sponsor Us: If you would like to sponsor us and have your advertisement displayed on our site (advertising something that has to do with writing or reading is preferable) send us a message and we can discuss how we'll do it.
  2. Promotional Ways
    1. Link to Us: By putting a link to YWO on your website or a website you visit, you can help spread the word about our site. Just make sure you are not breaking any rules of that site. And don't spam with our links, either.
    2. Become an Affiliate: If you have an active site for writers or teenagers, then exchanging links can help both our sites.
    3. Join Our Facebook Group: If you join on Facebook, you'll be helping to spread the word, not to mention you'll look awesome and get to talk to other members on a very social site.
    4. Digg Us: Click the BOOKMARK link at the top of this page to submit this site to any of dozens of social bookmarking sites. You'll find another link near the Reply button on thread pages. You can use that to submit the specific thread..
    5. Tell Your Friends: If you know a friend who might be interested in this site, go ahead and tell them! The more, the merrier, to use the cliche.
  3. Very Simple Ways:
    1. Start a Thread: This is your forum. There's no better way to have a few laughs or get to know everyone else than to start a conversation.
    2. Make a Suggestion: We take every honest suggestion seriously. So far, the ideas of members have increased the allowed size of avatars, started some fun holidays games, and made site navigation easier. We discuss all site changes with our members, so if you have something to suggest, say it!
    3. Critique Something That Hasn't Been Critiqued: Sometimes, stories and poems slip by without ever receiving a critique. You can find them here, and help to ensure everyone's work gets at least one critique.
