YWO Mag: Suggest a Name

K, so we've been discussing this idea and apparently you all love it. So, here's where things stand. We need a name.

So suggest your names for the magazine. A quick thought, though: don't treat this like an anthology name. It needs to be a name that could potentially be reused and still make sense. Having something like "Swords, Monkeys and Alien Potatoes" won't work unless every issue has something to do with those elements. So many something a little more generic, if that makes sense. Think Analog SF or Realms of Fantasy or something. Those sorts of titles just sort of give you an impression of the magazine itself.

So, title suggestions! After a week or so I'll put them all together in a poll and you all can vote!

I cheated. I got a lot of my ideas from poetry. Like "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock", Macbeth's "Tomorrow and Tomorrow" speech, "Kubla Khan," "The Raven," a couple passages from the Bible, and several others...

That's the only one that really stands out to me so far. Uh ... everything else I can think of has personal meaning to me, but won't mean anything to anyone else here.

I guess I'll keep thinking. And I'll look over the other names. They might grow on me. Nah, they won't. We might as well name it Carraka's Magazine or The Overlady.

Well I imagine you could shorten it and then have a smaller line underneath it that said "Survival by Storytelling", or similar things for other names.

That's an idea, plus the actual lettering. The best thing to do is just look at other magazine covers and see how they have the title, and then come up with something that way.

I don't think we can use any of the ones with the word "teen" in them, Zomb. There are people on here that are older than teens and they are eligible. The age limit is 25 I think, simply because this is "Young Writers Online", not "Teen Writers". Young is pretty subjective. Besides, I'm freakin' old.

But the other ones certainly can be used :D.
