Now i'm sorry but what a fantastic book this is!
I picked it up randomly in a sale and i think it took me about two days to finish.
In a nutshell it is about terrorists using a biological weapon to cause mayhem. Yes its Zombies and i know there is not really a way of making an original spin on the idea, but he pulls it off amazingly. He has written plenty of zombie novels so he certainly knows what he is on about.
The story follows a character called Joe Ledger, he is that middle aged, don't give a F#@k bad ass you wish to be. Dragged from his normal day job as a detective into an elite anti terrorist organization called the D.M.S. (Department of Military Science). And he is in a desperate chase to figure out and stop a organization threatening humanity.
I know none of this may sound original and there have been hundreds of book, movies and games about this but he still manages to put a new spin on it, and to me it seems to be the best yet.
The action is unrelenting, the ideas are mind blowing and the characters are just awesome.
The only thing i could probably point out as a flaw is that it switches between time lines and different strings of event that's may get you a little confused, but stick with it and it will be worth it. Well written and thought out!
I give it 5 Stars: ✰✰✰✰✰

Thanks for this. If I'm at my library and I see it, I will pick it up and flip through it a bit. (Not a nut for zombies but what the hell?)
