Okay, total classic :p and I will admit this book was not my choice to read, it was demanded from my english teacher. Let me tell you he does not screw around with the english language, he means business.
Anyways, I had to read this book, as most other people do. Some people hate it, because your forced to read it. I didn't think it was that bad actually. It had same great points, it had themes of pride and humiliation. Juvinille blindness. Great book. And of course, the best line of the book, "Mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat up people's gardens, don't nest in corncribs, they don't do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That's why it's a sin to kill a mocking bird." (98)
The prejudice is the main thing in this book. Some people believe in rights for all people, other believe whites are abouve others (of course, this is in the past.) But you can look at this in todays time, but instead of blacks, look at people for Iraq or certain religion, or sexuality.
It also shows how some people can be so hypocritical, as Scouts teacher says it's wrong for Hitler to hate on Jews, yet she is the same towards blacks.
Great book when you think about it :p
(Sorry if I have spelling errors, didn't spell check!)

I love this book. Even after I've finished reading it, I kept thinking about it and what will happen next.
