Ok, guys, I have to come up with a costume for my sister by Thursday. It's World Book Week (we should really know this ...) and they're having a fancy dress day at her school. She needs to be a children's book character, preferably one that's instantly recognisable, and also one that isn't going to make her look incredibly stupid when her tutor visits. :p
Ideas?
I want her to be a pirate, but she won't. :glare:

Aslan? XD
Ok, I should clarify: The only dress we have in the house is some incomplete Elizabethan underwear smock thing, and a black gypsy-style dress I wore for my prom. :p So trousers would be really, really handy ...

Cat Royal from The Diamond of Drury Lane + Series.
Lyra/Mrs Coulter from Northern Lights
Aunt Petunia
Um . . .
How about a charcter from a story from this site or TW?
It'd be different.

She could be Anastaisia, Cinderella, or some other little rich girl. The gown would look cute :D

I would instantly think Little Red Riding Hood would be a good idea :)
Something from a fairy story.
*Scrolls up and down several times*
Crocolyle took all the good ideas except for Gandalf. Even Pippi Longstocking! :O
EDIT: Mary Poppins! She's a children's character, right?
