I'd seen the movies before I'd read the short story, and I know that the Re-Animator has less in it than the movies but there were some nice techniques Lovecraft uses to contrast Herbert West's personality and appearance, the ending was very, very abrupt and, like most of Lovecraft's stories, contains little to no speech at all.
I loved it, I've yet to finish At The Mountain of Madness, but that is also following his traditions, and it's good to read some of Lovecraft's famous Great Old Ones mythos.
Has anyone else read The Re-Animator? Or am I the only one XD
