About three weeks to go!

Who else is counting down? Who is feverishly planning? Stocking up on coffee? Who has given up already?

I'm going for 80,000 this year, a modest goal considering the windfall of free time that has befallen me along with college. This year I will ... -drumroll- write ... -drumroll continued- A PREQUEL!! Yes! It will be awful. Awful fun.

I would if I didn't have so much on my plate. I did it last year, and got to like, 52,000, but I have so much writing to do this year that there's no way I could pull it off.

I'm going for 10,000 on the YWP version. I know, epic fail. I'm a really slow writer, and I mean slow.

That's 333 words a day. Easily done with a couple of word wars, and we'll be doing plenty of those, no worries. :)

Word wars, yay!

I'm warring with ideas. I have a lot and no idea how to write them. The worst of all is, I found No Plot No Problem (you know what I mean) in a bookstore and didn't buy it! Because it lacked a price.

You're lucky.
I really want to do NaNoWriMo, but I have zero ideas. Literally. I'm one of the worst people in the world when it comes to plots. I hope I'll figure somethig out till November.

I unfortunately don't have any time to do NaNo in November, but I'd really like to do it pretty much any other month in the year -- would anybody else be up for doing it with me?? We can arrange a month and swap tips and meringue recipes <33

Because no one realized. I certainly didn't.

Shows how tired I've been that I didn't even notice it was misspelled. xD

Fixed, by the way.

And good luck on doing NaNo while in college, Carr and Lyk. I hardly have time to write at all. Not that I've ever done NaNo before anyway.

I'm pretty much up for any writing-motivational thing at any time, like ever. :D

@Majyk - I have a rather surprisingly empty timetable. We have a two-week system and on one week I have nothing on Thursdays and Fridays, and the other, nothing on Mondays. Last year was so much busier, so hopefully I'll be fine. Also, being a night-owl helps, and when there's nobody here or on TW to war, there are always people on Deviantart up for it. :)

That sounds really nice, actually. My schedule is so busy, I haven't written for two weeks, which would be killing me if I wasn't so busy I hardly noticed. xD I have 8:30 class every day, so I can't stay up very late either. ):

Record your face while you read this.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I have one class, one hour long.
On Tuesday, I have three classes. Four hours in the morning, two hours in the afternoon.
On Thursday, I have two classes. Four hours in the morning.
I am in chorus. One hour on Monday, two hours on Tuesday, one hour on Thursday.

That's my schedule. Seventeen hours a week.

And no, homework does not add to the load. Maybe three or four hours, tops.

Monday I have 8:30 (and it's not like I can just get up ten minutes before class, as every day it's dance) to 12:50 no breaks, then 2:30-4. Two out of four of those classes are dance.
Tuesday I only have two dance classes--8:30, then one at 2.
Wednesday I have three, all dance: 8:30, then 2:30-5:20. Half the time the dance department adds lectures at 11.
Thursday is the worst. I have to eat lunch at ten thirty. Class at 8:30, then class at 11:20-4.
Friday, all dance, 8:30-11:20, then 2:30-4.
Plus dance practice on Fridays and Saturdays. And I do have homework for some dance courses.

Overall, I have nine classes.

And now I'll let you get back to your NaNo discussion... xD

Rough ...

In any case, my point was, keep your luck for yourself. You need it more than I do, and if I don't meet my goal for this year, I have no excuse. Well, aside from death in the family ... Hmm ... but that might just deepen my writing experience. This is getting too morbid. (Really, Carr? I didn't know there was such a thing as too morbid for you.)

Hahahaha, good luck to everybody!

Yeah, this will actually be my first time participating in Nano, and I'm, interestingly enough, filled with coherent and structured plots. My head is simmering with those, which is very unusual for someone like me who only imagines snippets but not actual stories. Must be my subconscious helping me :P.

Really excited :].

PS: 36 hours a week.

Hello, NaNoers of this year! I'm gladly joining you.

I wish you all good luck!

Firstly - YOU'RE PUBLISHED? :O asdfghjkl can I has a link to it plz? :D

Second - This will be my fourth Nano, and my third year of cheating by using an already started work. Stupid rule in my opinion - so long as you write 50,000 words and don't include anything not written in November, it shouldn't matter. 50k is 50k.

Rowenny

Lykaios- Yes, my work will hit the shelves in one/two weeks.
And I can give you the link, but, unfortunately, my first novel is not published in English. Since I live in Latvia and my native language is Latvian, it is published in Latvian. The work is called "Field of Digital Forget-me-nots".
I do hope that I could get it translated into English one day, it would be great.

Do you all have plans for this NaNo's work? What are you all writing?

Who says? Just send a load of people to the moon where they meet a runaway Australian astronaut and have a tea party in a crater. That's a party, not a plot, and parties are more fun, especially if they have cake.

Alice- You really don't have anything? Like- anything at all? Maybe you can check NaNoWriMo Adoption page? I thing there was something like that! And from there you can adopt a plot. ;)

I NEED A PLOT or I won't be able to write. The reason I could finish my novel over the summer was because I had a plot, so I knew where I was going D:

Wow guys. I didn't think you'd be so interested. ^_^

So, my pen name is Ellena R. Landara. And yeah, a little off topic, but you can find me on facebook as Ellen Landara if you'd like. ^_^

Here is the link to the publishers home page (it is Latvia's biggest publishing house Zvaigzne ABC): http://www.zvaigzne.lv/lv/gramatas/katalogs/product.php?prod_id=65126&cat_id=B/J&sub_cat_id=JL&third_cat_id=

The information here is in Latvian, but you can at least see the cover of the book. The title is "The field of digital forget-me-nots"

And here is the translation of the info that is written there:

"The contests "Zvaigznes book. Latvian literature for kids and young adults" winner Ellena R. Landara novel "The field of digital forget-me-nots" is a breathtaking story about love and adventure in the era of technologies.
The idea of this novel was born from a dream, in which the author saw a boy flying on a board between skyscrapers.
Indeed, in the world the story is set in, flying on a board is nothing strange- so as the biomachine, that is implanted in every newborn baby.
Airii lives in Niron- a city, where the boundary between human and technology is disappearing fast. Her every day life is very predictable and quite lonely. But THAT days incident turns her life upside down.
When an explosion happens at Airii's workplace, the girl is involved in dangerous adventures, that lead her to the most mysterious part of the city- the scary Factory district.
Meeting strange people, mysterious dreams, hard to believe discoveries, besides, some never before felt feelings are waking up in her heart. Is it possible, that the safe and perfect Niron is not as good and safe as Airii thought it was?
Balancing between fear and curiosity, pain and resolution, Airii is trying to get closer to the truth about herself, her family, friends and the city she is living in. "

I'm sorry if the translation sounds a bit awkward. English is not my native language and I'm probably not THAT good at it.
