What Fantasy Writers Need to Hear!

George linked (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/showthread.php?t=722) to this article about video games, which is basically a message to all video game makers on what they should stop doing - on what the do that lowers the bar.

I thought it would be fun if we all compiled a similar one for fantasy, and sci-fi, and possibly other genres if enough people want to do them. This thread, however, will be fantasy-writing-specific.

So...what should all fantasy writers stop doing? :) Feel free to rant.
