So what do you think of that?

I am currently writing a fantasy/sci-fi novel which revolves around a protagonist whose goal (unknowingly) is to destroy the world.

And while this seems really bad, the state of the world leaves a lot to be desired, and the girl is really good-hearted.

I can't really add anything more to be honest, the title is quite self-explanatory.

Personally, I want to read a story where the BAD GUY wins. Try incorporating that. Then i'll be alllllllllllllllllllllllll gooooooooooooooooooooooooood.

And make the girl a guy.

Reminds me of The Lucifer and The Biscuit Hammer where the protagonist is trying to stop the Biscuit Hammer from destroying the world only so that she can destroy the world herself.

I like this idea lots. :D The contrast between the girl's good nature and her horrific goal will make for some interesting reader speculation. The idea that a well-intentioned protagonist could be the ultimate destruction of a world rather than the savior is somehow more horrible and heart-wrenching than a villain that ends up winning.

Reminds me of how Lyra from His Dark Materials was destined to save the world (and betray a friend), but she must not, at any cost, be told that this was her destiny, or all would be lost.
And I think you should keep her a girl. :P

Rawwr, guys as protagonists in stories like this suck for the simple reason of having that organ between their legs :P

Of course sweety <3. She'll remain as a girl (unless I make on hella plot twist and put her on the operating table).

Yes, that is tragic but there won't be any main villain in my story, just sub-villains.

Hold on, I thought the girl was the prog's love interest. Keep it a girl, but make the love interest a girl then. But keep it a secret.

Shhhh keep it a secret xP. But in all seriousness I think I will make the girl promiscuous.

Ok, I'll stop. Actually, I was planning on making multiple protagonists, not just the girl. Like how Harry Potter has Ron and Herpes or how Sora, in Kingdom Hearts, is always with Donald and Goofy.

This reminds me of a story I have in mind about a hero who saved the world and everything is in a utopia. Due to world peace, technology has risen exponentially, and he is transported into a parallel world. In this world, everything is in ruins. He is caught by a flying vessel and taken to its leader. He realizes that the leader is none other than himself. He is in a parallel world where he became the villain who destroyed everything, rather than save everyone. In the end, the hero from the saved world goes back to destroy everything, and the other version of him plans to create everything new again.
