Winner, Loser, and Why...

Simple game: here's how it works:

Take anything (ANYTHING) and pair it up for a 'match', and add a few 'stats' to the 'competitors' dscribing them. The next person will then state who will 'win', 'lose' and why. Then, he/she/it goes an and sets up the next 'match'.

Try and come up with as much crazy pairs as possible.

*Somehow, I'm struck with the feeling od Deja vu, but I don't know why...*

Anyhoo, here's an example:
Person 'A' says:
'Cookies vs. Cream'

Cookies: Crunchy, great texture, has fiber
Cream: Smooth, soft, and has calcium

Person 'B' says:
Winner: Cookies. Loser: Cream. Why: Cream has fat. (or etc, etc)

and then Person 'B' proposes...

'Pirates vs. Ninjas'

Person C goes on and blablabla...

*Matches can be restarted, but not too often. Let's move onto other things...
*Try giving good reasons too :P
*Be biased if you want. But your argument gets more credit if you aren't
*If a match does come up like 'Hitler vs. Teletubies', you CAN be unrealistic and say that the teletubies will win...but you have to justify it :D
*I might be adding more in the future too, like 'Objections' and 'Accepted'


Anyhoo: I'll start:

'Harry Potter vs. Link'

Harry Potter: Knows a vast number of spells + is the possesor of Death's Wand.
Link: Masterful swordfighter and magic user, and is an elf.

Why: Cuz even though I don't really like either, going by the Merriam-Webster definitions, Fascism seems way more oppressive and tyrannical. I don't really like oppressive and tyrannical.

Venomous War Camels!!! Acid/Poisonous spit, secret language, really fast. They can dance too! (long story... never mind.)

Holy Llamas: Magic spit with unknown powers, very sure-footed, agile. And, they... uh... have their own icon...?

Hitler: Dictator of Nazi Germany, commands a not-so-large army of well-trained and well-equipped soldiers

Spiderman: Also a bit of a science geek, superhuman strength, speed, and endurance, has the spidey-sense, and can shoot web out of his wrists + climb walls

Musical Theate: is live, has the possibility of change each night and is interactive.
Cinema: is guaranteed to be the same every time you watch it and isn't interactive, so you don't need to worry about where you're sitting... >.>

Illuminati vs Freemasionry

Illuminati: An enlightenment era group formed from scientists, free thinkers and republicans.
They had allegedly tried to overthrow monerchies and religion in many parts of Europe. They are also thought to be behind the French revolution and the American revolution. It is also believed that the wish to create a secular humanist, anarcho-communist utopia.

Freemasons: These people promote natural theology and esotericism. It is believed by many that Freemasons plan to create an occult New World Order. It is also thought that many forefathers of America had freemasonry symbolism used in many American landmarks.

Starcraft vs Warhammer 40k

Starcraft: Has Space rednecks with guns, a psychic alien race with lasers, and insect-like creatures that work through a hivemind. Worshiped in South Korea.

Warhammer 40k: Space...people, their armor looks similar to the rednecks'. Space Orcs, Space Elves, and Tyranids that work through a hivemind (I think).

Jedi vs Sith

Jedi: Lots of them, work in groups, not battle hardened, use the force for peace and propserity, don't have 'clouding' emotions like Fear, Anger, frustration, confusion etc.

Sith: Use force lightning, not as many of them, love to fight and kill because there EVIL, use the force for power and war, use fear and Anger to fight.

Winner: Jedi: They are pretty cool, their religion is flawed though. Increadibly flawed but awsome none the less.

Pharaoh vs Roman Emperor

Pharaoh: Ruler of Egypt, treated like gods, had the pyramids built then killed the slaves who built it in order to hide its secrets. Pharaohs were believed to be the incarnation of Horus in life and Osiris in death.

Roman Emperor: One of the earliest civilisations to introduce democracy. The colosseum was built under Emperor Vespasian, one of the most iconic landmarks on earth.

Winner: Pharoah - come on! At least they had some originality. Eventually, the Romans took some of their style too. Roman was just a mish-mash that adopted everything and then restricted it to their terms.
Loser: Romans - despite the fact that they actually imparted more to our culture than the Egyptians. Although we have to wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing... Hmm...

Ok... um... this is going to be really dumb but...!

Books -vs- Movies!

Books - you have to use the thing between your ears, you'll have to stop once your eyes get tired, and it takes a lot longer to get to the finish line. On the plus side, though, you'll always like the graphics of your imagination, it feeds your creativity, you get more detail and you get little bonuses like being able to spell properly and being able to pick up simple grammar.

Movies - they're often corny, never pass a lot of time and for ages, you want to go back and watch it, but it always costs money to see them, whether you get it from a loan shop or the DVD store or the cinema. You don't have to use your brain much (well...except for in some movies), and sometimes the graphics don't live up to your expectations. On the plus side, though, you don't have to fiddle with pages, it won't hurt your eyes all that much (in normal circumstances) and it's sooo relaaaaxing... *falling asleep*. Oh! And often you get to see some hottie take off their shirt. ^_* Always a plus...unless it doesn't live up to expectations... *urghh!*
