Well here it is... maybe Zelda won't win this time... only votes will tell I guess. Vote here (from the above nominations chosen at random with no bias whatsoever...) for what you think is the greatest series of games ever made. Honestly I don't think Link will come out as number one, but let's see what you all think.

I can't decide between three either... oh Oblivion is just not even an option... and I don't think I could honestly vote for Final Fantasy... Link or Mario... Link or Mario... Super Mario Galaxy or Twilight Princes... Super Mario 64 or Ocarina of Time... Phantom Hourglass or Super Mario DS... darn!!! they're always two masterpieces next to each other!!!
which is good for us gamers but not for us voters who are trying to pick the best...
FF deserves definate consideration, the zelda series does to, but it doesn't rival Mario and what it did for the gaming industry. Mario in a runaway

by the way, I'm not sure if I can edit the poll but I think I can, if there are any other series you think should be up there (i originally was just going to have the three greatest, FF, Link, and Mario) then just shoot them at me and I'll do my best to include the :)

Zelda all the way. It's awesome that so many people here like it. Mario's close, but...for some reason I like Zelda more. Probably because it has plot, puzzles, and is medieval. If I was voting based on fun, Mario would win.

Bomberman deserves consideration I believe
that was one fun series, not to the same level, but it was a great series
Metroid and MGS need to be on there IMO
Tekken was good, but not great... uhm... trying to think off the top of my head. Haven't been enough Ninja Gaiden's to have it on... Phantasy Star might deserve some... Castlevania maybe.... Resident Evil maybe... Devil May Cry ((well the new one came out, fresh in my mind)). Halo deserves to be on there I think. Street Fighter maybe...
just a few names that might deserve consideration. Do with them as you see fit =]]

ok I added Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, and Metroid. :) Oblivion had to be erased for some reason though... :( oh well.
EDIT: Wooooo!!! The master of all games is winning!!!... don't worry, I'll change it back in a minute... I just want people to see it first :P

Resident Evil is awesome, but not in the league of Zelda or Elder Scrolls. I'm gonna vote Oblivion. :link: I'll admit that it's plot isn't as good as FF or Zelda, but it has much more development and a lot more choice, plus there's different branches of storylines, such as you could be in the Fighters' Guild, Mages' Guild, Theives' Guild, the Dark Brotherhood (basically, the Assassins' Guild :rolleyes:), the Arena, and there's loads of adventure it in.

That's what we call it when a moderator changes a poll option's vote count from 3 to 2000. :rolleyes: But that's absurd, and nobody would probably do it. :)

its ok niether of them are as good as Mario anyway, so no complaints here

... I don't think that's a good philosophy on video games... Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy 7... past games... better than most out today

Meh...graphics, style and the 'cool' factor impress me most in games...the storyline helps too, and the newer the game is, the better.
But I guess that's just me :P

Oblivion is a PC game, too. And you can have mods for it, such as flying on dragons, flying carpets and having a chainsaw for a weapon. :link:
