View Full Version : Your worst procrastination stories
A little something for all of us to think "Oh! I'm not the only one!"
Commence the bean spilling!
I procrastinate almost every time I sit down to do some work, the only time I haven't was last week when I did an all nighter, and worked like solidly for 18 hours. xD Srsly. I finish Uni in like a month so it's either do work or fail life.
I reckon it's the mentality of actually saying, "Right, I'm well gunna sit down and do all this work for 'x' amount of hours". It just doesn't happen, in my case anyway. I reckon if you don't even think about it, and just do it cause you want to, then you'll bash more work out then usual.
Most of the time I sit down in my room to get on with work then my mate will like ring me up and I'll end up going out getting paralytic. Or we'll go to the gym and all three of us end up just mooching around in our cars being rude bios ect until 11pm. Then after all that fun stuff, I simply cannot be bothered with work. :sarcasm:

Rofl, ironically, right now, isntead of doing my in muchneedoflovingattentionuniwork, I'm down an ancient PS1 game I used to love. Hogs of War, yes bled. :sarcasm:

Um, probably last night. Nano poem? I'll be fine, I've got time. So, laying in bed with the tiny light on, trying to scrawl something out that wasn't idiotic. Three/four poems, and I don't like any of them. Sure.
I'm actually usually pretty good about doing stuff on time. Maybe I'll think of something dramatic later.

Honestly, there are so many that I can't even pick one out as being profound.
I tend to write essays the morning they're due, though. ^^
And my big English essay, which we had, three, four months to do, I ended up doing the weekend before it was due.

I don't really procrastinate. Not too badly, anyway. When I'm writing my novel, I sometimes find myself using YWO to avoid writing it, but that's when I can't really think what to write anyway. But I always finish them, so. I also always finish my essays at least a day or two before they're due so I can edit.
I am procrastinating right now, actually. I don't want to read these essays for my English class, but I have until next week. And my "procrastination" includes finishing up a short story and printing out some journal pages so I can edit, both of which are for the same English class and are not due until May 3rd. xD

Lolololol, Jack.
I procrastinate so often that it's become like a disease. xD Procrastinating now, actually. I have an essay to write and I'm actively avoiding it. I save my textbook reading assignments until the weekend before the test so that I'm reading like 50+ pages on Sunday night and trying to cram all the information into my brain. xD
I think I have serious problems. :/
