I found this book to be extremely interesting. I happen to be one of those people who if the book isn't that interesting I take forever in reading it but this one I couldn't put down. I would find myself in class daydreaming about what might happen next and anytime I got a spare minute I read. This book is about a middle/upper (maybe) class family. On the outside they seem like normal people but if you look a little closer you may see that they're not. Sara and Brian Fitzgerald are the perfect husband and wife and have a beautiful daughter named Kate and a handsome son named Jesse. When Jesse is four and Kate is one Kate is diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia. Her family is desperate to find donor for Kate but it is dangerous when the donor is not a relative. They decide to have a designer baby who would be a perfect chromosomal match to Kate and pretty much be spare parts. What they don't count on is that 13 years later Anna, the designer baby, is tired of it and is now petitioning for medical emancipation. If she wins Kate will die and if she loses she will have to give up her kidney and nothing will ever be the same. Now ensues possibly the most amazing story of how far one will go for love.
