Ok, this is a fun game that I have come across, and I really think it could be fun here. I have played it online before, so I know it will work. It's really enjoyable, and you get to kill people, so please see this through!!

Ok, first the rules. Please don't fall asleep:

There are four main roles that we will play with. I know those who have played this game before know many different roles and many different names for those roles, but I am setting the names strait for this particular set of rules. The roles are as follows:

Citizen (villager, townie): The citizen is a normal person whose goal is to kill all the mafia. They have one vote during the day to try to lynch the mafia and do not perform any action moves during the night.

Mafia (Werewolfs): The mafia is the bad guy who corresponds with the other members of the mafia (depending on the number of people playing) to choose 1 person to kill during the night. They win if all the citizens and citizen-friendly players are dead. During the day, the try to avoid being voted on to be lynched and convince others that they are not the mafia. They do not reveal their identities.

Cop (Detective, Inspector): The detective is a citizen-friendly power player who wins if all the mafia are dead. The cop's role is to choose one player to "snoop" and figure out whether they are mafia or not mafia during the night. They then try to convince the other citizens that, if they found a mafia, that the person is the mafia, of if they found a citizen, that that person is a citizen.

Doctor/Doc (Angel, Nurse): The doc is a citizen-friendly power player who wins if all the mafia are dead. The doc's role is to choose one player to "save" each night, meaning that that player cannot be killed by the mafia. However, the player can still be lynched. The doc can save themselves.

Finally, the God (me, or if anyone else wants to do it), is the moderator and gives out assignments, receives the power plays, and basically runs the game.

Now:

The game takes place over the duration of several "days" and "nights". Play begins at the start of the first "day," and proceeds as follows:

1. Everyone discusses who might be in the Mafia. Eventually, a vote is called and the (un)lucky candidate is run out of town (or lynched, or tarred and feathered, or... You get the idea). As they are run out of town (of whatever), the player gets to make one final statement.
2. Night falls. Everyone goes to sleep (not really.) During this period, the power players (Mafia, Doc and Cop) will send PM's to the god saying who they want to kill, save, or snoop respectively. If there is more than one mafia, they can discuss who they want to kill through PM's. Other than that, THERE IS NO OTHER COMMUNICATION OUTSIDE THE GAME.
3. The God announces the beginning of the next day and who was killed and what not. Usually, as in my case, the God will invent some elaborate stories about the deaths. Anyways, the positions of the dead are revealed, and based on that, the discussion begins again about who should be lynched. Once the person is decided, night begins again. This goes on (the day, night sequence) untli:

Winning Conditions

* All of the Mafia have been eliminated. The townspeople win
* There are an equal number of townspeople and Mafia at the end of a "day". The Mafia wins

Now, if you made it through all of that I congratulate you. This is a really fun and I hope we can find some way to make this work. We can either play this on the forum or in the chat. Chat would be easier because it would be quick games, while forum games last about a month. If you would like to play either, please leave a comment and I will see who is interested.

I hope we can make this work!!!

Interesting. But I'm not sure if it'll work with the recent revival of SBS.

Yeah, it is kind of at a bad time, but this is for whenever. And the chat versions of this game are pretty short (20 minutes to a half an hour).
