View Full Version : Word Wars on Sundays?

So, this was brought up in the chatroom the other day.

First, what are word wars?
They're little contests, or writing races, between two or more people. You all set up an amount of time you want to write (10-15 minutes or more), and for that amount of time you do nothing but write, period. At the end of the allotted time everyone stops and declares how many words they wrote. Technically the person with the most words wins, but really everyone wins so long as they all wrote something. It's an exercise to get people writing.

So, there is a poll for this. What times are good for you to do this? We want to get a lot of people involved!

Thanks!

P.S.: Any time is good with me except late evening.

Well I'm asleep after about 1pm your time ...

So I think you should get up at 5am every Sunday. :D

Oh, and I really think polls and stuff should be in GMT. Not just because it's easier for me to figure out the time, but there's a reason places are like ... GMT+8. GMT is standard and cool. And you should know GMT in relation to your time, mister!

Americans don't use GMT. We use time that matters. East Coast, Central, Mountain, and Pacific.

Meh, I live in the UK so anytime in the afternoon is good because I'm busy in the mornings. It must be confusing for you people who live in different time zones to convert that to GMT.
War sounds fun! :ranger:

Yes! American time matters!

So I won't vote until you change it to East Coast.

Well if you want the conversion just subtract 8 hours from UK time to get Pacific time...

5am pacific is 1pm GMT.

12pm pacific is 8pm GMT.

5pm pacific is too late (1am GMT).

11pm pacific is too early (7am GMT).

Yes, yes, I have a clock converting things for me. Subtracting eight got to be too much of a challenge for my brain.
