If there was this book, and you wanted it extremely badly, how and where would you get it?

I know, I just did it to annoy you. :P And I'd get my books from a bookstore. Power to Waterstones! :approve:

I'm a weird person when it comes to buying books.

I like to go to the bookstore and pick out my own copy out of the other books. Its like I chose it with my own eyes you know?

It's mine. Out of all the others, I picked this one, now I am going to read it.

I usually only do that when my favorite author comes out with a new book, otherwise I just order from Amazon.com.

Shadow, were you the guy whose family owns Waterstones?

Amazon. Or now, YWO's aStore. Unless it's like ... HP. Then I queue. And when The next book of Pellinor comes out I'll be buying that from the most obscure shop I can find so Alison Croggon gets the most royalties. :p

The guy who's family owns Waterstones? No, I'm not, but I wish I was! :D Why did you think it was me?

There was you and this other dude at TW and you were both similar ... and I'm senile, so I get easily mistaken.

I sucked up to that guy a lot, but if he isn't you, then I think he left. Darn it.

Well, you are very welcome to suck up to me instead. :P But I do envy him now. I want to own a bookstore, or have a family member who owns a bookstore. And a successful one. :D

I get books I really want from the bookshops. Waterstones!
Other books I check out in the library first so I don't waste my money. Though some books (Harry Potter) don't need to be library-read first because they just are inatntly the best and already on my shelf the day it comes out. :)

I buy books wherever I can find them basically...sometimes at the used bookstore, sometimes at Borders, sometimes on Amazon, etc. It all depends. Some books you can't get in book stores...

I usually just swing by Barnes and Nobles, Books-A-Million, or Borders, whichever I happen to be closer to and pick it up, but if it's not available at those I order it off Amazon. I had to do that for "The Penguin Book of Vampires" an anthology of classic vampire stories compiled by Alan Ryan.

Oh, I have a system! First I check through my favourite groups on Chapters.com, I then pick a book and look for it in the library's online catalogue. If it's available, I order it and pick it up in about a week. If the book isn't there *gasp* I tell the library to buy it, then go to the nearest bookstore and get it anyway. If I really, really, really love a book from the library... I beg my parents to pay for my own copy.

My sister wheedled a cell out of them, and now they tell me I'd better make BETTER use of the library. Sigh...

On another note... Amazon confuses me, how can you people use it?!

I usually get my books through the bookstore, but if I'm at school it's through the library... my school librarian knows my name... but I never told it to her... creepy lol

There are absolutely NO bookstores in my town! It's THAT small! The best place to buy books is freaking Wal-Mart. So I use the library, unless I happen to go to Cincinnati to the mall.

I usually buy books. Or, if it is a very expensive book and some of my friends have it, I just ask them to give it to me. Or, if it is a very interesting book and my friends have it. Basically, I haven't been to libraries, like, for many years now. I like collecting books and buying them is like a hobby of mine or something like that.

If I want a book badly, I buy it, but usually I can't afford to buy books. I don't go to the library much these days... So usually I do actually borrow books off friends :L

For some reason, I don't like libraries. I always feel like their books are old and not very interesting. Plus, I like owning my own copies so I can read it over and over again. I have a nook, but my mom stole it from me, so I just read books now.

I would really wait for its sale on the bookshop near my place. Or I would encourage my rich friend to buy that book and afterwards I’ll borrow it from him. Well, I want to spend less and save more money. :)

Usually the library or a book store. Sometimes on the internet. I don't really borrow books from friends, but my friends are always borrowing stuff from me. And it kind of depends where I see it first too.

I would get it on my nook. It's the fasted way - I can be downloading in five minutes and reading in less then ten. It's awesome. :D

Plus, I can read my nook at night when I'm supposed to be sleeping. LOL
