The question is self-explanatory. Are you a ballpoint pen type? Or do you prefer a regular Type 2 pencil? Or maybe you're really old school and prefer a fountain pen? Then again, you might be the contemporary type and think that all these crazy handwriting tools are, well, crazy! Whatever your preference, we want your vote!

Someone will go Elder Scrolls on our asses and choose 'Quill'.

I generally use the keyboard, but I prefer using my fountain pen or a mechanical pencil. (the only mechanical pencils I've ever had are the ones from the Writing Olympics prizes, so thankieeee, I love them!) xD

Oh man, didn't see the "keyboard" option.

I voted for ballpoint pen, but I usually write on my laptop... :/

Ballpoint pen all the way. Otherwise I use the computer... but usually I do prefer a pen. (I dislike pencils... :glare:)

If I could find a quill pen I would use it.

Pencil, pencil all the way! Mechanica, by the way. I mean, come on, it's like a pencil, eraser and sharpener all in one! You can't get a lot better than that!

I chose quill. Because I felt like it.

Me too… I guess…
Quills are awesome!

I voted keyboard because I constantly edit anything I write, so it's aggravating to use anything else!

But a typewriter is really cool!

For experimental short stories, (basically all of my short stories posted here) I normally only type it. Then retype it until the finished product.

However, when I write with the style I am accustomed to, I usually freewrite with whatever physical writing utensil there is and then I transcribe this draft into my computer. I just can't feel the story when I type :/. Longhand always magically solves my pacing and structural problems :). Everyone should try writing old-school style once in a while.

Gotta use the keyboard. Nothing else will let me get my ideas out quickly and edit at the same time.

Writing with a pencil makes my wrist hurt really bad, and I usually have to stop a lot and rest, so I usually only do it when inspiration hits and I don't have my laptop (or I just finalize the details and store it in the ole' noggin'). It would be cool to have an old-fashioned typewriter, but sadly, I only have a laptop. I find it's much more productive and easier to keep private if I want to.
