View Full Version : A Few Questions

I was randomly browsing around the site, and I have a few questions, just like it says in the title. Yeah. Amazing.

1. Under Site Info > View All, there is a Statistics option, which says, "Check out our top posters, most popular threads, etc." When you click on it, it shows you the top posters, the top thanked, the top referrals, and the top thread starters. But where does it show you the most popular threads? Has that feature been removed? If so, why are the Stats falsely advertised?

2. Also under Site Info > View All, under FAQ, it says, "Read the Young Writers Online FAQ. You'll find answers to lots of questions. You can also find the FAQ for New Members here (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/showthread.php?t=11)." The here link doesn't lead anywhere.

3. Now that Georgie (HapBir!) is a moderator, are there places he needs to be added to? For instance, under the FAQ section the answers to Who is in charge of YWO? and What are moderators? have no mention of him. What about under About Us? Does he deserve an autobiography also?

So I'm finished. Obviously that's all nit-picky stuff, because you guys are awesome, and even if you ignore what I've posted here, no one will ever care. Go do more important things (like writing your quota for today) before bothering to address my questions.

1. We removed a few statistics back when we were getting those resource errors in an attempt to lower our resources use. Since those are over with, I think we can add those again.

2. Whoops! Long story short, a newbie started a thread to ask a question, so I merged it with the Newbie FAQ. But the thread ID number changed, and I forgot to change the link. I found out how to merge threads correctly afterward, so it won't happen again.

3. Since we'll be adding more moderators as time goes on, and since some might leave, it would be a real hassle to go adding every new moderator to every page. Georgiemick is listed with all the staff on this page (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/showgroups.php), where it's automatic.

You've got a good eye, Car! *Thanks*
