What is Science Fiction?

(I'm going to do one for fantasy as well, just so you know).

Basically, what is science fiction to you? What would be your definition? This is sort of the age-old question that all genre folks ask...so I'm asking it. What is SF? What does a story have to have to be considered SF? What isn't SF?
