For those of you who have played The Legend of Zelda, you probably know there's a lot of discussion on what chronological order the games take place in. I recently found this, and thought it was the best-backed timeline theory, and possibly the right one. What do you think?

I'm sorry to say I don't get it. Anyway, I've only played two Zelda games: Ocarina of Time and the Wind Waker. I played Ocarina when I was younger and I had an extremely strange fear of the massive fairy thing you find in that big mountain place that the big owl tells you about. I still wonder why I ever had that fear...

Maybe because it was semi-nude and very large? I loved OOT. There are so many nostalgic things about it.

The split timeline theory makes use of the theory that when you go back in time, you can change the present. When Zelda sends you back in time at the end of the game, one timeline follows everything that happens to her after you've left.

The other timeline is the one where Link is sent back to his childhood. He takes action that tries to prevent the entire conflict in that game from happenning, so the final battle with Ganon never happens, and there's a different future, with different games.

That make sense?

Or maybe it was the massive scream she did when she appears.

Ah... no. So, there's a battle with Ganon at the end of each one?

We don't know exactly if there's a battle in the second timeline, because it starts right after Zelda sends you back at the very end of the game. But the first timeline definitely has one because he's the final boss.

Alternate timelines are cool. So are parallel universes.

This is something I found on YouTube. You might have seen it already, but I thought it was pretty good.

Yeah, that time line makes sense, I love Zelda, my favorite is Ocarina of Time of course, but I also like Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. Man it is my second favorite game series next to Final Fantasy. (FF will probably never be bumped off from number one.) :)

My favourite game of all time is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It's basically the best RPG ever created.

Yeah, I have that game too, I just can't seem to get into it I don't know why.

It takes a bit of getting into. I didn't understand it at first but now I love it.

Oh, I forgot to reply. That was really funny. My brother liked it also. Best parts: Navi annoying Link, the somersaults, the hall monitors. :D

Ditto! Even funnier was the fact that every single time, she basically said the same thing.
