Hello I am wondering of doing a football story but I don't know how to start off if it should be about a team that is struggling to score goals or a good team that wins most of their matches and what country should it be based on and stuff like that i have a list of teams in my house that i made.should I use those even though it may not be appropriate for the country I base my story on

excuse my bad English I have to get rid of my fast typing.

thank you for your help. ;);):cool:;):D

I would suggest basing it in your country, because that's what you are familiar with. Be sure to use a made-up team, because if it is about a real team there may be confusion to whether the events portrayed actually happened.

As for the team, I say that I would, although I admit I don't have much of an interest in football, rather read one about a team that struggles. People typically would rather root for the underdog than a team that always wins. Also, you can come up with more of a plot if the team wants to do better. How can they do better?

Now, as for starting off. If you are the type that needs to be organized, an outline is always a good way to begin. But, if you prefer to just start writing right away, then do that. A good way to begin the story is with a description of the scene, if it starts off in the game. Then they lose the game, and you already established that it's a football team and they are not very good. Another interesting way to begin a story is with diolauge. You could begin with the players talking to one another. Just try to captivate the reader and catch their attention in the first lines.

If you are having trouble with the plot, I have an outline guide that will help. Reply to this or contact me if you need it!

Good luck!
