So, my name is Molly.
I love expressing myself through art and photography as well as poetry. I have never been able to complete a story, but I hope to change that. Recently, I've rediscovered a yearning to pick up writing in earnest.
I love fantasy, mythology, and the ancient world, so those are the styles I generally drift towards. However, I do like to broaden my horizons with other genres.
Thanks for welcoming me to YWO and I hope to be critiquing and writing soon (:

Welcome to YWO, Molly! (Or Asteria. Whichever you prefer. :D)
Favorite books? Authors?
What made you want to pick up writing in earnest?
I'm a fantasy nut. Send me a message for crits, yah?

Howdy, Molly.
I'm takin' a Mythology class this semester, let's hope it's good.
Welcome to YWO.
Hiya Molly, and welcome to YWO.
It's important that you check out the FAQ & Rules (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/rules.php) as well as the Critique Guidelines. (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/critiques.php) :)
Feel free to ask anyone here for help, extra info, or a critique later on.
Other than that, you're ready to go.
Hope you enjoy your stay here. ^^
P.S: I chat, just VM me and I'll be in the chatroom before you could say: Old McDonald had a farm.

Thanks for the welcomes and tips, guys ^.^ I'll be sure to check out the rules and guidelines ASAP.
My favorite book so far is "The Demon King" by Cinda Williams Chima because it is a splendid mix of my favorite styles. I also appreciate stories that aren't too cliche and contain plenty of symbolism, such as Classics like "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde.
I don't really have a favorite author at the moment, the ones on my profile are somewhat past favorites. (Darren Shan being one of them because I love long series of books and the gruesome is plenty intriguing.)
Part of the reason I'm returning to writing is a creative writing class I'm taking in school this coming year. I'd like to get my imagination rolling and improve my writing skills for the course, and my friend, Mercy, mentioned this site is very helpful and awesome (:
Actually, Mercy has inspired me to step up my game in the field of literature, with her devotion to writing and to this site. Thank ya buddeh :D
And thanks to you, Iridescence. I hope to be shooting you a message in the near future.

I loved The Demon King, too! And you're friends with Mercy, so I won't bother telling you to look at the rules or whatnot. Welcome to YWO!
