Some of you may have been getting errors while browsing the forums lately. This is because YWO has been exceeding its resource limits. Since it is a young forum and none of us are millionaires, YWO is on a relatively inexpensive and limited website plan.

Since it takes resources to display all the things on the forum, some of the less necessary ones have been taken down. This includes the friends list on profiles, an aspect of registration that makes sure all your information matches, and some of the site statistics.

Hopefully this will result in less errors. Shaun and I are discussing what to do with regard to a better website plan, though it will cost more money. Several times more.

In summary, make sure you use the aStore whenever you need to buy something. :)

Man, this makes me feel guilty for not persisting for a PayPal account. :( Well, at least it's stuff we don't need that's been taken down. Sorry I couldn't help, Andrew. :)

How did we actually get people into that box? I added loads of people, but only Andrew and Carraka turned up. Unless they have to accept it and all of the others hate me. :P

Yup. Everyone else hated you.

Both sides have to add the other side as a friend in order for the picture thing to show up. For all those people that I haven't added yet: I don't hate you. I just forgot that the friend thing existed. Still, in its short life, I'm sure the friends list helped build a lot of community spirit. Rest in peace.

I'm actually in the PROCESS of convincing my parents to let me go on there. I've been pretty good with it, they will crack soon enough!

I think there needs to be some clarification about the aStore. We don't get any of your financial information at all. The only thing I get to see in our account through Amazon is that somebody bought something and the order number. When you actually go to checkout through our aStore it actually takes you to Amazon's checkout. We never see your info or anything. I don't know where you live, I don't know your credit card number, etc. Amazon knows all that stuff because the aStore is still Amazon, it just allows an easy way for you to earn us a commission. You don't pay more for products, you pay the same as on Amazon because it is Amazon.
If that helps any parents on deciding, then great. Just make sure they know that the aStore is just a way for us to make sure that our little referral number says on the sale so we can earn a commission. We have no idea who you are when you make the sale. Amazon just says "someone clicked and bought something, here's your commission and the sale number...bye".
