Writing Olympics Announcement: One Week To Go!

The YWO Writing Olympics are exactly one week away, which means there isn't much time to sign up and get your teams together (more info on that towards the bottom of this email).

First things first, events will take place either in the chatroom or wherever you choose. There is no set space, primarily because many of the events take place over the course of several days. That said, there are some things that should be clarified:

--Themes for group events will be placed online in the Writing Olympics forum section on the day that the events begin. You will have until the last day of that event to turn in your final product (at any time that day): http://www.youngwritersonline.net/forumdisplay.php?f=23

--Individual events (only one member of your team may participate in each; you should divide them up) will take place somewhat at your convenience on the day of the event. We will use the chatroom schedule to try to get everyone together (to be put online in a few days, which will appear in the Writing Olympics section of YWO).

--Themes for individual events that span a day or longer will be placed online in the forum section for the Writing Olympics (as with group events, you'll have until the end of the event to turn in your finished product).

--Themes for individual events that have specific hour-long time limits will be given to participants at the time of their choosing on the day the event is to occur (meaning, either you can show up in the aforementioned chat time for that event, or, if you can't make it, PM Shaun to let him know when you can participate so he can send you your theme, at that specified time, after which you will have only the allotted time to complete your work).

If there is any confusion over this, please don't hesitate to PM Shaun on YWO.

There's exactly one week to get everything in order. Remember, the team that receives the most "medal" points will win the grand prize, which includes gift certificates to Amazon and so on!
