Hi,
I'm EiffelFlower. I LOVE writing! Although I havn't seemed to finish a story yet. I find that I'm not good at writing short stories so it would take me rather long to write a full, finished story. I started writing stories when I was about 9. I used to take the begginings of books into my class and read them aloud. Up until the end of primary school, I used to read my stories to the class every week and everyone used to love them. But I still never finished a story...
Since the first day I started secondary school, I stopped writing. Not for the fact that I didn't enjoy it any more, but more for the fact that there was no one I could read it aloud to, as we have several different classes a day. Two weeks ago we had a writing assessment and I got the highest mark in my year. I remembered how much I missed writing and since yesterday...I have decided to start writing again...and hopefully actuelly finish a story.
I like writing Horror/Fantasy stories and I also enjoy writing about Mythical creatures ETC...
I'm reading Stephanie Meyers Eclipse at the moment. I absoloutly adore her books! :D
My goals in writing are: To write a story with somebody. I want to write a story with somebody else who loves writing so that it's the idears of two poeple, combined. It would also make me actuelly finish a story if I knew there was somebody else waiting for me to finish :D.
Thanks for reading these many boring paragraphs about me

Aha! Welcome, fellow noob, slightly newer than me! :D I can't imagine not writing for extended periods of time... Ughh... I tried writing a story with my sister... yeah, that didn't end too well... Fun idea, though!

Give it a week, and you'll be detesting the Twilight series for what it is.

Gah xD.

I can't imagine not writing for extended periods of time... Ughh... I tried writing a story with my sister... yeah, that didn't end too well... Fun idea, though!

I didn't write for three weeks last summer (I was at a dance intensive), and it nearly killed me.
Also, I've tried writing with my sister as well. It didn't work either, partially because we don't actually like to read the same kinds of books. :p

Anyway, welcome to YWO. Please read the Rules (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/rules.php) and Critique Guidelines (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/critiques.php) if you haven't already. And if you want to see more guides on critiquing, just ask and I can direct you to them.

Hi Flower, and welcome to :ywo:! I hope you like it here. ^^
I didn't realize that I loved writing so much until I didn't write for about an entire year! Depressing point in my life...;)
So what are some of your unfinished stories about?
If you have any questions or need a critique, you can ask me...or any other person on this website, but I am the only one I can speak for...^^
Again, welcome to the site!

One of my un-finished stories, I got about half finished. I moved house about 4 months ago and during the move I lost the folder with all my old stories in it. I was really gutted. I do still remember the main story though.
A middle aged woman had a pet dog and she used to talk to it all day and tell it that it was her best friend. Later on in the story she decides to have a nose job because she used to remember what her mothers nose looked like when she was in her middle ages. When she went into the surgery to have the nose job, they unusually let her dog come into the surgery with her. The story only tells you right at the end that the woman is blind hence she is allowed to take her dog into the surgery, because it's her blind dog. The story also makes sense because where she is blind she doesn't know what her nose looks like and that's where her mother came into the story, because she remembers what her mothers nose was like.
Anyway, I came up with the idea of that story when I was 9 or 10 years old so I nearly cried when I lost all my old half finished stories :(

WOW, that's a pretty elaborate story for a nine year-old! When I was nine, my stories consisted of some group of people going somewhere to do something...awesome. ;)
I lost all my stories from before I was ten, they weren't very good, but I still liked to have them for the sake of having them. I am a hoarder ^^ (not really...but I keep junk...so yeah ^^).
Well I hope we can help you improve your writing that you do have and maybe even inspire you to write some more. :D

I see that you are looking forward to writing stories with other members. Well lucky for you, we have the co-op writing, in the writing section, where you post the main idea, and later on the members willing to participate in making the story would invent their own characters, and each one would write a part of the story regarding his character, so yeah, it's fun. Of course there are guidelines that you can check out to get more info about how it works. :)
