View Full Version : How do you get a thread removed?
Um, hi.
I want to get a thread of mine with a short story on it removed so I can submit it to the SBS magazine. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what I need to do. It says that only moderators and admins can delete threads, so do I put something like <please delete> in the thread's title (if so, how do you change the title?) or send a message to one. If it's the latter, who do I send the message to? I have a terrible memory for names and I can't remember/don't know the names of any admins etc. I've searched through random threads and looked in the FAQ's for the answer, and, either through selective blindness or through incompetence, haven't been able to find one.
Sorry for the newb-ish question :ninja:

Yes, you have to ask a mod or admin to delete threads. You also can't change thread titles on your own. So yeah, either PM or VM one of us and we can remove the thread for you. I can do it right now if you'd like (or you can ask someone else); which thread is it?
The list of staff members can be found here (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/showgroups.php) by the way (but they're also the people with the red, green, or purple usernames).

Can I assume that this has been taken care of?

If he tells me which thread he wants deleted before I leave in a few minutes, then yes, otherwise someone else can do it or I'll get to it in a few hours.
EDIT: Yeah, I'm leaving to go to a rehearsal right now, so if someone feels inclined to take over, go ahead.
