Summer Contest

Since there hasn't been a contest since Majyk's Music Description contest, I thought I'd start up a new one. Now, this one is probably going to appeal to those that like to write pretty images, so if you're not big on that, then this may not be for you.

What I would like for you to do is this:
Create an image of summer without using the word summer. I want to get that word in my head with what you write and how you use word choice to portray summer. I want to taste, see, hear, smell and be able to touch "summer". Can you give it to me? That's up to you.

Rules:
I do not want a story. I only want an image. It can be several paragraphs, or one. It could also be a poem, if you choose to write poetry. I don't care. I just don't want a story. I just want to see this picture in my head and I want it to be beautiful.

If I have enough participants, I'll narrow it down to my favorite two of the bunch, and will put those up for the forum to vote on. Both of them will get a free critique from myself.

This will go on till the end of June at the very latest. If I have enough participants entries by say, the end of May, then we'll call it a close then.
