You may or may not be familiar with our Minigames (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/games.php) page (it's accessible from our Writing Exercises forum). There's not much there, and I was thinking of possibly adding some new ones - similar to One Word or Write Down!

Any ideas on possibilities? Random name generators? Writing prompts? What would you like to see?

I think we need a Ninja Elflord game where you have to write your way out of a wicked battle.

Or, maybe something more practical:
--hangman
--some vocab games (matching similar words, things like that)

I'm drawing a blank beyond that...

What about a description game where it gives you a picture or a word and you spend 60 seconds describing it?

Maybe have a game where you have to figure out which word fits in different sentences, like site vs sight, or effect and affect? It sounds more like schoolwork or something, but I can't think of anything else.

I quite like the idea of writing prompts, and a variety of different genre prompts or given scenarios.

Again, a random name generator would be useful if it wasn't just fantasy.

If you wanted something more of a light relief, then what about "guess the name of the book/author" or something like that, although I don't know how useful that would be.

Maybe a countdown sort of thing where you have to try and create the longest word?

I actually really love the word a day so kudos :)

Maybe something like: "Who wrote that?"
For example there would be some kind of sentences or a sayings that a famous writers wrote and on the other side ther would be some stories names along with the author's name, and the member should match the names of the authors/stories to the appropriate saying.
*just a random thought that occured to my mind*

I'd rather focus more on simpler stuff that might actually be useful to the author. Trivia games aren't that useful, and I'd have to add all the facts one-by-one.

Name generators: great idea
Majyk, I like the effect/affect-type trivia game. I might do it.
Description game given a picture - also sounds good, if I can find a good source of pictures.
