I just spent half an hour writing a really awesome intro thread... but it got deleted because I put a link in it. Sucks.
I'm Lilith, the Architect of [creative writing forum] and if you want to pay a visit you may have to ask me the address. It's cool. And very tiny. And uber friendly.
I write stuff too! Oh yes indeed I do. I wrote a big long explanation about Destination, but like I say it got deleted, so I have every intention of telling you LATER.

I think Kanen Renoir mentioned you when we were in the chatroom once. Hm. Anyway, what genres do you like writing? And, of course, welcome to YWO.

Wow. Lots of peoples. Hello hello hello!
Genre-wise I'm really into contemporary fantasy at the moment. To be honest I tend to pick an idea and then just roll with it. I try not to think too much because a good story should write itself, rather than me trying to mess too much with it.
OK, Destination is the piece I'm most likely to be posting soon. It's about Death from an abstract point of view and it's sort of metaphorical and weird and... quirky. And fun. Because I didn't want to write anything sad. :)

Hey Lilith,
Yeah, we have to have a link rule here because we've had a lot of people posting spam and pornography, and, well, that's not what this site is about.
Contemporary fantasy? That's awesome. Do you read Shimmer Magazine? Might be right up your alley :). Lots of contemporary fantasy there.
I already know you're considering submitting to SBS, so I won't give you the whole deal for that. But you should get the first issue whenever you can! It's apparently really good (according to others, since my opinion would be biased), and you'd be supporting young writers, which is awesome, right? Links in my sig :).

Whaaa....?! We did?! O.O!
Anyways!
Welcome Lilith! This place is gnarly and pretty much my home away from home. I hope you get the best you can out of it.
Much grinnage, dudette!

I've never heard of Shimmer, but I'll check it out asap. To be honest the whole idea of Contemporary Fantasy is a bit new to me - I like fantasy but the whole "fire from hands and magic staffs" approach was starting to wear on me.
I am really excited about SBS having a Steampunk theme, it'll be a great opportunity for me to knuckle down and write something decent, rather than just moving from one idea to the next to the next. Will be fun. :)
