Okay, this is where we can gloat or cry about our grades for this quarter/semester of the school year.
I got an A+ in my Opera class and an A in my Modern German Fiction class (both upper division courses). I'm still waiting on the third though. It should be up soon.
What about the rest of you?
I'm still in elemantary so my grades aren't that important :P
Congrats on the As Shaun!

In some parts of BC grades 1-7 are elementary and then 8-12 is High School. I am in grade 7 so therefore my last year in elemantary. So just to reassure you, I am not 10:P

'A' and 'B's throughout high school :D
Especially in Arts...
-tries to copy Raffy- A's and B's through elemantary...
see it just doesn't seem to work!:P

Hey, it's better than mine....I hated my elementary school so I purposely got C's, D's and F's just to piss my teachers off...except in Art, which I just couldn't bear failing...

That's interesting Nyx. I didn't know that!
The U.S. system generally works like this:
Grades 1-5 = Elementary
6-8 = Middle or Junior High
9-12 = High School
13+ = College

yea, some parts of here works like that too, except I think this system is new or something. I think it's better this way...Middle school just seems such a burden of moving schools:P

I didn't think it was possible to fail art in elemantary school...O_o

You can't really fail art until you reach maybe the high school or college level. The sad thing is that in High School you have to take a certain number of art courses, but if you're not artistically inclined it just sucks. I am okay at some art forms, but I'm not an artist by a long shot. So it was never easy for me, but I had a friend who was an amazing artist (I love his artwork!) and it was a piece of cake for him. He usually finished his projects early and did other stuff for fun. Last I heard of him he was studying game design in Florida.

Oh god...I am so going to fail art in High School:(!

Just do your best and try not to overwhelm yourself. If you're not good at art, don't do something you know you'll never be able to do. Find something challenging, but within your abilities. The problem with art is people try to do things they can't actually do. Don't do that. Just start small and work your way up. If you're not good at art you can't expect to be Picasso or Michelangelo on your first try :P

Piacasso? Pftt..he's so much lower than me on the art scales:P Just kidding.
Yea I'll start small..stick figures maybe...

I'M SO SMART!!
PRINCIPALS HONOR ROLL
(Hell YEAH!)
I think I'm actually going to fail Math this year though. I only got Principals cause of my 97% in Choir/Jazz Choir and my 92% in Spanish and Science.
But I'm really actually a "clown" I suppose...

Do better in Math :P. It'll be better for you in the long run. You'll go to college and get a cool job one day and be rich :D

I agree with Shaun's Art advice. Start small and practice, practice, practice...:D

(Gloating) I just finished my first semester of college. I took Elementary Statistics, American Literature, Introduction to Theater, and Public Speaking Fundamentals and got straight As. It was at a community college though. I start at the university (which accepted me, but for the second semester instead of the first. I think it was because I got a D in math my junior year of high school, despite being involved in extra-curriculars, having all my other grades As or Bs, taking AP and Honors courses, and having good SAT scores) next semester.

Croc, it's actually a good thing to go to Community College. I know it sucks, but here are the benefits:
1. You're far more mature than everyone else who is at Uni if you get an AA or enough units for one at a CC.
2. You save a crapload of money on courses that really aren't important (i.e. general ed crap that you'll never use)
3. CC is pretty much the exact same as Uni, only slightly more lenient. After taking one semester of 2 upper division courses and 1 writing intensive course at a real Uni I can tell you that for a fact. It's not different. If you're not challenge at CC level, you won't be challenged at Uni either. I love Uni though, but nothing has really challenged me.

I will say this: I am going to fail in Maths! I absolutely suck at it. I can do the stuff eventually, but the rest of the class are ages ahead of me by then, so it looks like I'm really thick. I suppose I'll do alright in the exams, though, it's just my report at the end of the year will look bad.
I do, however, do good in the other subjects I'm taking. I'm not that good at Physics, though, but I'm good in Chemistry and Biology. I think I'll get As in English Language and English Literature, once my coursework's been marked and sent back. I'll probably get a B in Drama and possibly either a B+ or A- in Geography. In History, I'm expecting a C or a B. That's all I do, then, so... yeah. I'll probably get much better levels next year, though, when I'm in GCSE in full flow.

You know, I'd love to teach at your school Shadow, but i think I need a degree for that. I do want to teach though. One day. I'm working on getting an MA though. Then it's easier to teach :P. PhD is my ultimate goal though :P.

I don't think you should work in England anyway, Shaun. Especially not at my school. People here tend to laugh at American accents. Morons. :glare:

I could do really good in Math, but I never hand in anything. I'm trying to prove that you can do good on the tests and the rest of the work is stupid. I've gotten 90% on most of my tests, but I just never hand in anything so he never gives me a good mark.
And I'm too busy in Math writing songs and whatnot. ^^

Lucky you, we can't do anything wrong without our Maths teacher yelling at us. :glare: He makes up for it in the stuff he knows, though. When he did his A-levels, he came in the top-five best scores in all of England, though they never tell you what position you came in, so it could have been 1st or 5th. He's an idiot, though, because he could have worked for NASA, but he chose to work at our boring school.

You could technically be a teacher in the U.S. at 20, if you do your BA fast and get your credential...

:D We also have a new headmaster. And he is scary! He likes Rugby and he's massive. Not in muscle, but in fat. His face is just a bit chubby, his neck is fine, but his belly is like as big as he is wide. Man, it is freaky! :D

Shaun, 'Professor' sounds so much cooler than 'Doctor'.

Because you don't have to have a PhD. to be a professor. So, to be called "Dr. of ..." is much more important :P

You have to have a doctorate here to be a professor, I think. You get your PhD, and then you get invited to be 'professor of whatever/wherever'. That's my understanding, anyway.
