Hello everyone. My name is Summer and I'm addicted to purple. (Hi Summer...) I think this site is really cool. I like writing and the idea of having a stranger read and critique my work seems very constructive. My grammar is pretty bad so I'm apologizing ahead of time. Don't kill me. :D I may disagree with what you may say about my work but that's ok because everyone has their own opinion. I am reminded of Emily Dickinson. Her writing was never published until after her death because the editors tried to edit her writing to fit the mold of what poetry was usually thought of in that time. She had her own style and although it was thought unconventional, I believe that this should be kept in mind. Even now, the works of hers that are published may not necessarily be her true doings due to people trying to correct mistakes that were not mistakes at all. That said, I do appreciate and look forward to the constructive critisism. :)

Well, if you have any grammar problems, I'm pretty good with that type of stuff. So, what genres do you like writing? And, of course, welcome to YWO!

So basically you're an absolute original who is simply misunderstood but is definitely going to change that by altering the world. Wow. You're almost as awesome as I am. Welcome to YWO ;)

It depends though, doesn't it? Not every author that disagrees with someone looking over their work, disagrees because their work is actually spectacular. It's a pride issue, sometimes. There are special cases, where the author is being repressed, but most of us will comment on what you can do to enhance your story, we won't try to change it.

That being said, I hope you don't refute all the advice you get, and good luck on improving your grammar :)

Welcome to YWO. Read the rules and critique guidelines.

Also, it's 'Debut', not 'Debue' :P

What you said in your introduction is usually what people say when fear their work is bad but want an excuse to convince themselves otherwise.

Delusions are pretty, no?

Welcome.

Welcome, dear. I'll definitely give you a good critique, but if you disagree with me, don't be like this:

YOU'RE WRONG I RIGHT STAY OUT OF MY THREAD.

Or I'll have to ... destroy you.

Nah, I wouldn't do that, but :domo: would.
:welcome:
