Newbie over here!
First, I have to say that I'm not a native English speaker, so if every error you see sticks in your eyes just as they do in mine, do tell me! I'm from Sweden, but write mostly in English and I've always been wondering why I was born to serve to languages.
So well, here I will post my fantasy or sci-fi works, since that's what I write in English, I also write some poetry and psychological sci-fi in Swedish, along with a small project I call 'someone else's diary' or 'diary without days' (that name is cooler in Swedish, dagbok utan dagar). And it's all short stories, since I tend to kill my characters after a few thousand words, but I'm working on keeping them alive.
At the moment I'm studying at Uppsala University, computer linguistics. It's kind of the coolest thing I've ever done, we're reading linguistics AND computer courses, like programming. Very nice I think, being a geek in the not very cool way...
So yay, I hope this is a nice place where I can read what other's write and eventually post some of my own and give and receive critique.
See ya 'round!

You seem very cool, I like the sound of the diary thing. Let me know if you put it up, I'd like to read it.

Oh, I wish I was English, 'cause then I'd have mad skills in the coolest language ever (coolest as in everybody understands it, unfortunately it's not the most beautiful language...)

I do know, but I'm not sure if my name is taken from that song :)

It's written in Swedish, and that project I have no intentions of translating, because it's so connected to the simplicity of the language and it's playing with it. I simply can't translate it without missing half of it... And I think it's doomed to stay in that notebook with my almost unreadable handwriting ;)
