Red roses traditionally symbolize the emotions of Valentine's Day, being associated with love, remembrance and passion. White roses are associated with purity, and pink with happiness. Carnation are also associated with Valentine's Day and devoted love. Gardenias are associated with secret love.

Personally, I love roses, but I'd rather receive irises or lilies. Or sunflowers. They're just prettier.

I actually wouldn't want to receive flowers.
Maybe a bonsai tree or tomato plant, though...

I've never been interested in flowers. They don't do anything. They're pointless. They just sit there, looking pretty. I tend to dislike things with that particular trait. Also, I'm not that big a fan of valentine's day, either.

I like frangipani, actually, much more than I like roses. I mean, roses are nice and all... but I like the look and the meaning of frangipani. ^^
That and tiger lily. ^^

I dunno, I think flowers are beautiful and symbolize the fact that nothing ever lasts, not even a pristine bouquet of roses. Nothing lasts, nothing's meant to last--however, flowers are often used as a symbol of love. Why, if people like to believe that love lasts, would someone use flowers, since they never last?
Haha, if that doesn't make any sense to anyone else, then I understand.

O.o I care about the flowers! :(
You know before thinking of flowers, you have to make sure you have someone to give them to you!Second thing, the emotions and honesty of your lover/boyfriend,Who originally gave you or will give you the flowers;and the way he dresses to!(I am not shallow believe me,I know looks aren't every thing but they do matter, every girl likes to see her boyfriend dressed well right?!:P)...Third thing is the chocolate he gives to you;)...Finally,you look at the flowers he has in his hand.:D Roses are nice. That's on the bright side of him giving you flowers, now on the other side (the dark side )where there is no electricity:P... Flowers represent nothing at all if you ask me,they are nice, but what's the point of receiving something that sits in a vase for a couple o' days and then dies?....Oh well, evry one has his/her own opinion eventually.

Not gonna lie, I find this a pointless topic. Like pissing on a toilet and missing.
