Some rules for this post:
--No bickering and arguing about why someone doesn't suck. You can debate, but keep it civil or I'll hit you with my tyrant backhand.
--Have fun!

So, who do you hate the most and why?

I hate Anne Rice more than any one here...

The twilight lady has a lot to answer for. Nothing against her personally, but her fans drive me nuts. Eugh.

Ah, SMeyer, what have you done to the reading world? The others may be cliche and/or horribly written, but they can still be entertaining if you approach them the right way. The Twilight books just flat out make no sense, and generally make you want to slam your head into the nearest wall upon reading them.

For me it'd be Dan Brown from the list. But I think I dislike Agatha Christie more than all of them here. Agatha pulls solutions out of her back pocket and people say she's a genius! And Dan Brown pretty much uses a program to write. He types in the subject, types in details and character names, and voila, a new book is written! Exactly the same style as all his other books, all his chapters end the same way, etc etc. But I don't exactly hate them. They found out what works EASY. That's good for them, they get money. Same with Stephenie Meyer.
Actually, Christopher Paolini's problem isn't entirely his fault. He's just a kid, he wrote his first book and he probably didn't have to face a stern enough editor who told him 'this is bad... go revise it', since his parents helped him publish it. :P

Long block of text, sorry.

I guess I'd say Stephanie Meyer. I read the first half of Twilight, and it was so bad that I just gave up. I mean, I know the other authors are bad, but at least I can get some enjoyment out of reading their books (except Nora Roberts), while that Twilight series is just so boring and...gah. It's awful.

I think this one is rather obvious for me. :) Stephanie Meyers, because she's turned almost teenage on earth into very creepy fans. -_-

You can guess who I chose. It's very predictable, but it's also true.

What's Stephen King doing on here? He can actually write, unlike the other hacks on the list.

I wish Meyer was a real vampire so everyone will capture her and stake her.

I would say Stephanie Meyer although I don't really hate her and as for having a really crazy fan club -I totally agree. As it seems she has many people who doesn't like her writing too. aj.e Isn't that too much ?(referring to your wish)

Goodness, I seem to have voted for the majority. Personally, I do not think Stephenie is a very good writer at all. The story of Twilight is awfully trite, although I can respect its reception by teenage girls and vampire admirers. ^__^;

I can't really hate Dan Brown that much. I don't know how true it is but when I took a online test to see which author I write like the most. The result was Dan Brown.

Paolini. Didn't he write Eragon. I hate Eragon. So Gary Sueish.

Meyers of course is my answer.

For me it's Frances Hodgson Burnett. I HATE the secret garden!!!!

Claw it's not that bad after all... The bad thing about it is that we were forced to read it and do work about it!

And by the way it's Stephenie Meyer by far!!!

Steph, Dan and Chris should be on the 'Banned From Writing List' forever! Dan steals Ideas and rumours, and shoves it down your mouth as the truth. Chris bores me. And Steph is just rubbish!

I'm not sure I hate King but the last pole I did he was like "modern" or something that didin't look good and I don't know who Nora or Dan are but I LOVE Paolini.

Three things, okay?

One, King did not write Twilight--Stephenie Meyer wrote Twilight.

Two, don't double post.

And three, don't bump tons of old poll threads (or any old threads), all right?

<_< >_> I've only read one author on the list. And I've only read one book by that author. uh...... (yes, it was Paolini, if you must know.)

I belong to the majority- it's SM. All the stuff that came out after Twilight is worse than the series itself. Impossible to find a good book in "Teenage Fiction"!

I actually like Paolini... 0.o

I went for Dan Brown. I read the Lost Symbol purely because I was home from a trip to Washington and was able to read descriptions of the city and go "OMG, I saw that!"... But once the initial excitement died down I got bored to breaking point. It was tediuos and hard to follow and the plot seemed kind of... Meandering, if that makes sense.

How can you guys say that? I know Twilight has become this whole big thing for crazy, hormonal teenage girls, but that doesn't mean that the books are bad! I think that Stepheni Meyer wrote an amazing piece of literature. She even based the stories on classics like Pride and Prejudice, Romeo & Juliet, and Wuthering Heights.
